ORGANIZATIONAL COMMUNICATION AND ONLINE BASED PERFORMANCE APPRRAISAL AT THE INDONESIAN TELECOMMUNICATION COMPANY

Performance is a value that is expected by an organization to measure individual’s behavior within a certain standard time periode. Performance includes not only the result from the employee’s work apprasial, but also from the asessment of other behaviors that will determine the work outcome. Positive attitude towards performance appraisal and the organizational communication climate were considered to be factors that affect employees performance. In reality, a company such as the Telecommunication of Indonesia (PT Telekomunikasi Indonesia) that apllying an online based performance management still faces obstacles in implementing the online based performance appraisal. As the consequences, the target of The Telecommunication of Indonesia become one global company has not been achieved yet. Ts research was aimed to analyze the influence of organizational communication climate and the attitude towards online performance appraisal at The Telecommunication of Indonesia. the condusted anlysis was carried out to see: (1) the correlation organizational communication climate and employees attitude climate and employees attitude towards online performance appraisal; (2) the simultaneous effect of organizational communication climate and employees attitude towards the online-based performance appraisal; (3) the influence of organizational communication climate on the employees performance; and (4) the influence of the employees attitude on the online based performance appraisal. This study used an explanatory survey method. Applying path-anlysis technique, assisted by Lisrel 8.7. intruments in order to examine the relationship and influence of independent variabels specifically organizational communication climate and employees attitude towads the dependent variable that is the online performance appraisal, tested the hyopthesis. The study was conducted at the Corporate Office Building of PT Telkom Bandung with total samples of 92 employees. The results show that the organizational communication climate and the attitude towards online performance appraisal emprirically influenced the employees performance. The organizational communication climate provides the most impact on employee performance. Positive attitude towards online performance appraisal which were supported by excellent organizational communication climate have influenced the employees work implementation, the performance is shown to better.
