Taking place at the Fikom Unpad Dome, this event was attended by all faculty leaders, lecturers, and new students who were ready to start their academic journey at one of the leading faculties at Padjadjaran University.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>With the theme &#8220;Collaboration for a Glorious Future,&#8221; the ceremony emphasized the importance of cooperation and innovation as the key to success in facing challenges in the digital era. In his speech, the Dean of Fikom Unpad, Dr. Dadang Rahmat Hidayat, S.Sos., S.H., M.Si., gave his official speech to the new students. He said that the new students were selected excellent students, who had gone through a rigorous process to enter Fikom Unpad with an average tightness of close to 1:25. He also invited them to be active in making brilliant achievements, both at the national and global levels, in order to welcome a shiny future.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>As part of the event, the Vice Dean for Learning, Student Affairs, and Research, Prof. Dr. H. Atwar Bajari, M.Si., delivered a report regarding the admission of new students this year. Fikom Unpad accepted 752 new students who were accepted through the SNBP, SNBT, and SMUP or independent pathways. The number of applicants reached 16,898 people, making Fikom Unpad one of the faculties with the most enthusiasts at Unpad. This shows the increasing attractiveness of Fikom Unpad as an educational center in the field of communication. On this occasion, Professor Atwar Bajari also introduced several new programs at Fikom Unpad, namely the International Class in the Communication Science study program and the Master By Project program.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>One of the important moments in this ceremony was the symbolic pinning of the PMB participant sign by the Dean to the new student representatives, as a sign of the start of their journey at Fikom Unpad. The ceremony was also filled with introductions of Fikom leaders and lecturers, as well as musical performances from students who added to the spirit of the event.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>The series of PMB activities will continue with the Introduction to Campus Life for New Students (PKKMB) which will be held for the next three days, namely on August 15-17, 2024. The series of activities that will be followed by new students include the introduction of study programs, guardianship, campus introduction, as well as Ormawa Expo and Awarding Night. Hopefully, through these activities, new students can adjust quickly and be ready to face the world of lectures with enthusiasm and readiness.
