Claudio’s interest in photography began with the influence of his father, who also enjoyed taking pictures. At first, Claudio casually followed in his father’s footsteps by photographing simple moments, such as playing basketball and futsal. However, he quickly grew bored with this type of photography. Claudio’s interest began to grow when he saw photos of activists that had deep meaning, which sparked his curiosity to explore further how photos can convey messages and emotions.<\/p>\n
Claudio first saw information about the photography competition on Instagram. With curiosity and enthusiasm, he decided to try his luck even though this was his first competition. It took Claudio several weeks to prepare his works, starting with taking pictures in October, followed by the editing process and finally collecting the images.<\/p>\n

In the competition, Claudio submitted dozens of photos that he had carefully selected in December. Each photo has a story and meaning that he wants to convey. One of the themes Claudio raised in his photos is criticism of the increasingly eroded nature. He wants to show how important it is to protect the environment through his work, and how human activities can impact nature.<\/p>\n
Techniques and Processes Behind the Lens of Photography<\/h3>\n
Claudio chose to take photos at a sporting event called highline with the aim of introducing the sport of highlining, which took place in Citatah, Padalarang. His subject was an athlete walking on a rope, combining courage with the charm of nature at sunset. The location was chosen not only for its natural beauty, but also to show the interaction between humans and the environment.<\/p>\n
To take these photos, Claudio used a simple camera and edited them using Canon and Lightroom applications. He commonly employs the EDFAT (Entire, Detail, Framing, Angle, and Time) technique when taking photos. However, he believes that with the right technique, even simple tools can produce amazing results.<\/p>\n
One interesting incident Claudio experienced during the shoot was when he took the last photo of the day. He was very tired, but that moment produced a very satisfying photo that became one of his favorites. Taking photos in this extreme category has its own challenges. The biggest challenge for Claudio was finding the right timing to capture dynamic and dramatic moments of action.<\/p>\n
When Claudio found out that he had won the award, he was very surprised. He only realized his achievement three months after the announcement because he had forgotten to check his email. This delay made the moment of victory even more surprising and precious.<\/p>\n
