DISABISA Unpad Presents Series on Becoming a Content Creator for People with Disabilities

After in 2021 Disabisa Unpad presented a Video Series of public speaking training for the visually impaired and physically disabled, in 2022 Disabisa launched a video series of training to become a social media content creator for the deaf. Disabisa is a website that provides a series of communication training for friends with disabilities developed by Fikom Unpad with the help of learning innovation funds and assistive technology for students in higher education from the Ministry of Education, Culture and Research of the Republic of Indonesia.

The presence of a video series becomes a social media content creator on the website to provide opportunities for friends with hearing disabilities to learn independently using laptops, tablets, or smartphones anywhere at any time. Learning with this method is very possible for deaf high achievers (Rahmawati, 2017). Dengan keterampilan membuat konten media sosial, mereka bukan hanya akan memiliki kesempatan menyampaikan ide-idenya, lebih lanjut bahkan bisa mendapatkan penghasilan sebagai content creator.

The videos in this content creator series are equipped with sign language and text that makes it easier for people with visual impairments to understand. The series of materials provided include an introduction to the content creator profession, the stages of becoming a content creator, basic content creator skills, finding ideas for content, photo lighting, photo and image composition, photography and videography with smartphones, simple video editing, and earning income from social media.
