PLN Goes to Campus in Pangandaran: Promoting Energy Literacy and Supporting SDGs Among Students
Pangandaran, June 19, 2025 – PLN UP3 Tasikmalaya, in collaboration with PLN ULP Pangandaran and PLN Icon Plus, held the PLN Goes to Campus program at Café Joglo Cintaratu, located near Universitas Padjadjaran (Unpad) Pangandaran Campus. The event offered interactive education on electricity innovation, electrical safety, and the role of technology in creating a sustainable energy future.
The participants were students from the Communication Science Program at the Pangandaran Campus, particularly members of the Himpunan Mahasiswa Ilmu Komunikasi (HIMA Ilkom) PSDKU Pangandaran.
This initiative is part of PLN’s contribution to the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), specifically Goal 7 (Affordable and Clean Energy) and Goal 17 (Partnerships for the Goals). By fostering collaboration between the private sector and higher education, the program encouraged students to understand the importance of the energy transition toward a greener future.
Participants gained insights into the PLN Mobile application, EV charging station technology (SPKLU), and PLN Icon Plus’s high-speed internet service Icon Net. Electrical safety education was also emphasized to help the younger generation use electricity safely and efficiently.
“This event broadened my perspective on how energy can be managed more intelligently and in an environmentally friendly way. I now better understand the role of young people in achieving sustainable energy,” said Dheavica, a student from Unpad Pangandaran who joined the event.
PLN hopes this activity will serve as a starting point to raise student awareness of energy challenges in the digital era while strengthening partnerships between PLN and educational institutions.
PLN invites all students and the public to use the PLN Mobile application to easily, quickly, and conveniently access electricity services. (NL)
