Go Big or Go Home: Callista, Public Relations Student with a Ton of Achievements
Callista Zharfa Rahmadhani, an eighth-semester student in the Public Relations program at the Faculty of Communication Sciences (Fikom) of Padjadjaran University, commonly known as Callista, has achieved numerous accomplishments at both national and international levels from 2019 to 2024. She possesses a strong determination, guided by her life principle: “Go Big or Go Home.” With this mindset, Callista has dared to step out of her comfort zone and actively participated in various academic and non-academic competitions both domestically and internationally. She has proven that the courage to try and consistency in learning are the keys to achieving success.
Throughout her academic career, Callista has achieved numerous accomplishments that demonstrate her skills in communication strategy and public relations campaigns. In 2022, she won first place in the Branding Competition held by Pelita Harapan University. In the same year, she also won first place in the PR Campaign Competition at the University of Indonesia’s PR action.
In 2023, she once again won first place in the PR Campaign Competition at the Communication Awards of Muhammadiyah University Yogyakarta. In 2024, she won third place in a similar competition at Komunikasi Fiesta. Internationally, Callista received an Honorable Mention from the United Nations Children’s Emergency Fund (UNICEF) in 2021. All these achievements stem from her passion for continuous learning and her courage to take on practical challenges.
Singing Talent that Transcends the International Stage

Since childhood, Callista has had a passion for music, especially singing. For her, the ability to sing is a gift from God that must be utilized to the fullest. With that spirit, Callista successfully broke into the international stage when she won 1st place in the Jazz, Pop, and Show categories at the prestigious The Grand Prix of Nations Gothenburg 2019 and 4th European Choir Games in Sweden. Not only that, her singing talent has also been recognized domestically, as she and her band won second place in the National Band Competition at the Kharisma Brawijaya Music Festival in 2024. For Callista, music is not just a hobby, but a medium for self-expression and gratitude for the talent she has been blessed with since birth.
Becoming Mawapres: It’s About the Process, Not Just the Title
Being named the Outstanding Student (Mawapres) of the Faculty of Communication Sciences (Fikom) at the University of Padjadjaran (Unpad) in 2024 is an experience Callista cherishes deeply. It’s not about the title, but the process and the time invested, which are invaluable. More than that, she learned to love the process. Callista mentioned that she participated in various competitions and achievement programs because she wanted to make the most of her youth. “It’s so small, so young, so old, as Tulus would say. This moment only comes once, so I want to explore as much as possible,” she said. For Callista, the principle of “Go Big or Go Home” is a legacy from her friend, Marva. This simple phrase continues to be her main motivation to dare to take on new challenges and create new experiences in her life. (ADG)
