Be Brave and Be Active: Jenna and Her Journey at Fikom Unpad
5th semester student of Communication Management study program, Faculty of Communication Science (Fikom) Universitas Padjadjaran, Jenna Jelajah Cakrawala, has proven herself as a passionate person in exploring various fields. Originally from Bandung, Jenna chose Fikom Unpad because she felt that this study program was relevant to her interests and passions, especially in writing, watching movies, and creative activities such as video editing and making vlogs.
Currently, Jenna is serving as Public Exposure Intern at Bank Indonesia while remaining active as a laboratory assistant at the Public Relations Lab of Fikom Unpad. In addition, he also has rich organizational experience, such as joining the Unpad International Office, AIESEC, and BEM Kema. In the field of committee and event organizingJenna contributed to TEDx Unpad, Padjadjaran Career Expo, and Fikom Awards 2022.
One of Jenna’s most memorable experiences was when she tried out for a competition. Initially, she only intended to try it out, but she fell in love with the world of competition. Some of her achievements include being the 1st place winner of Communication Program Planning from Development Dialogue Asia, 1st Place Branding Competition BREXPLOR Prasetiya Mulya, and 3rd Place Branding Competition Comvee UPH.
However, this journey was not without its challenges. Jenna admits that dividing time between academics, organizations, and personal time is often difficult. She also had to step out of her comfort zone and adapt to new things. To overcome this, Jenna uses priority scale that is flexible and based on urgency. In addition, he emphasized the importance of energy management in order to give the best effort in every activity.
In the future, Jenna aims to work in the FMCG industry, consultingor an agency that focuses on strategic communications. She also plans to pursue a master’s degree abroad to broaden her horizons and experience.
As a message to other students who also want to reap various achievements, Jenna invites them not to be afraid to try many new things and dare to face failure. By mindset that every opportunity has a fifty percent chance of success and fifty percent chance of failure, Jenna believes that bold exploration can pave the way to success. (TDF)
