
Fikom Unpad Holds The 3rd PCCS 2021 International Conference
The Faculty of Communication Sciences, Padjadjaran University (Fikom Unpad) again held a scientific conference that brought together communication researchers from various countries in the world, The 3rd Padjadjaran Communication Conference Series 2021 (PCCS 2021). This year PCCS carries the big theme “Optimizing Communication in Fostering Community Resilience”. The conference will take place online on November 30 and December 1, 2021.
The 3rd PCCS 2021, presenting several speakers from various countries, at In the first plenary session , the speakers will be Deborah Sellnow-Richmond, Ph.D., from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville United States; Prof. Dr. Atwar Bajari, M.Sc., from Padjadjaran University Indonesia; and Jemma Purdey, Ph.D., from Monash University Australia. On the second plenary session , will be attended by Prof. Dr. Fiona Verity from Swansea University United Kingdom; Jimmy Kainja MRes, BSc from the University of Malawi; and Dr. Evi Novianti, M.Sc., from Universitas Padjadjaran Indonesia who was present as a speaker.


The Chancellor of the University of Padjadjaran, Prof. Rina Indiastuti, SE, M.SIE., and Dr. Dadang Rahmat Hidayat , SH, S.Sos., M.Sc., as the Dean of Fikom Unpad was present to open The 3rd PCCS 2021 event Tuesday, November 30, 2021. The theme “Optimizing Communication in Fostering Community Resilience” itself was carried because this theme is very relevant to the current situation of the COVID-19 pandemic.
The 2021 PCCS activities are divided into two main activities, namely writing workshops and international conferences. The workshop organized will present speakers, namely researchers whose writings are often published in reputable international journals. The format used is intense mentoring on each article. The output of the writing workshop is a scientific article that is ready to be published by the Faculty of Communication Sciences, Padjadjaran University in Scopus Q2, Q3, and Q4 indexed international journals.

A total of 66 articles will be presented in The 3 rd PCCS 2021. The articles raised various sub-themes, namely Journalism in the Digital Era, Television and Film in the Convergence Era, Gender and Information, Digital Media and Communication, Political Communication, Public, Opinion and Policy, Information and Archives in the Digital Era, Public Relations , as well as other sub-themes.

Hopefully, with the presence of The 3 rd PCCS 2021, more articles from Padjadjaran University lecturers will be recognized by world researchers and will be useful for the development of communication science. (NA)
