Fikom Unpad Receives Field Study Visit from Islamic Library and Information Science Students of UIN Imam Bonjol Padang
The Faculty of Communication Sciences of Universitas Padjadjaran received a visit from the Islamic Library and Information Science Study Program, Faculty of Adab and Humanities UIN Imam Bonjol Padang on Monday, October 18, 2024. The event took place in Moestopo Hall from 10:00-11:30 WIB. The visit was attended by 127 student participants. The event was hosted by Mrs. Fitri Perdana, S.Sos, M.IKom as a lecturer in the Library and Information Science study program, Padjadjaran University.
The event began with remarks from a lecturer in the Library and Information Science Study Program at Padjadjaran University, Mr. Andriyanto, S.Sos, M.I.Kom., in his remarks he welcomed the students of the Islamic Library and Information Science Study Program at the Faculty of Communication Sciences, Padjadjaran University, through this visit it is hoped that students will gain knowledge about Unpad in general and Fikom in particular. In addition, he also explained the profession of graduates of the Library and Information Science study program who work in various sectors as information experts. The profession is no longer a librarian but document control and digital assets, as well as records. The hope is that students of the Islamic Library and Information Science study program will be proud of the profession they will carry out after graduation.
The event continued with the screening of Fikom Unpad’s profile video which was watched together. The next agenda was a more in-depth explanation of study programs, facilities, student activity units (ukm), entry points to Unpad, and the learning system by the Head of the Public Relations Laboratory Renata Anisa, S.Sos., M.M.
The next agenda, public lecture material delivered by Mrs. Fitri Perdana, S.Sos, M.IKom with material on Communication Skills for Information Professionals, why we need communication is to convey wishes and achieve goals he said. The event ended with a group photo with the students. (FB/DM)
