Muhaemin: A Student with Experience and Achievements in the Library World
Padjadjaran University students have achievements in various fields, one of which is Muhaemin or more familiarly called Muha, a student who is currently in his 7th semester in the Library and Information Science (PSI) study program at the Faculty of Communication Sciences, Padjadjaran University. Muha has an interest in writing, and this is one of the reasons for his interest in enrolling in the Library and Information Science (PSI) study program.
While studying at Universitas Padjadjaran, Muha was not only active through learning activities in class, he also often participated actively in organizational and committee activities. In his first year, Muha played an active role in Syamil Unpad and the Department Association (Himaka Fikom Unpad). Then not only that, in the second year Muha continued his organizational involvement in Himaka and also became part of the Public Relations Laboratory Assistant of Fikom Unpad.
With his various experiences in organizations and committees, Muha managed to utilize his free time in the 5th and 6th semesters by undergoing an internship at Kandaga Library, which is the library of Padjadjaran University. During her internship at Kandaga Library, she became part of the Knowledge Management Division with tasks that included poster design, research, content creation, and book data collection in the library.
Entering semester 7, Muha joined the MSIB (Internship and Certified Independent Study) program through Kampus Merdeka by doing an internship at the Directorate of Cultural Protection with a placement at the Museum and Cultural Heritage of Borobudur World Heritage Unit. There, Muha became an Assistant Museum Collection Recorder with the responsibility of recording and conserving the archival collection of the restoration of Borobudur Temple and the collection of loose stones in the Borobudur Museum. This internship experience at MCB Borobudur World Heritage Unit is a valuable experience for Muha because it is in accordance with her major, namely Library and Information Science, and provides a unique experience of working and living in Magelang.

In addition to being active in organizations and having professional experience through internships, Muha is also an outstanding student and active in the academic field. This is proven by the publication of 3 scientific articles in accredited journals Sinta 4 and Sinta 5. Not only that, Muha also won an essay writing competition at UPI Bookpedia 9.0 organized by BEM HIMA Perpusinfo, University of Education Indonesia.
With a myriad of experiences and achievements, Muhaemin is a clear example that students can excel in various fields at once. His persistence in academics, organizations, internships and competitions, proves that with good time management, anything can be achieved. His life principle, “Do what you can do, then prove it in your own way,” is a motivation not only for himself, but also for other students to keep trying and working. Through Muha’s story, we are reminded that passion, dedication and proper time management are the keys to achieving success in college and in the future. (JJC)
