Visit of Master of Communication Studies Program, Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, Riau University

The Faculty of Communication Sciences, Universitas Padjadjaran received a visit from the Lecturer Team of Master of Communication Studies Program, Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, Riau University (UNRI) on Friday, November 5, 2021. This activity took place in the Plenary Room, Building 2, Fikom Unpad Jatinangor. The visit was held in the context of a comparative study to find out the curriculum and system in the Master of Communication Science Study Program at Fikom Unpad.

The visit was attended by the Dean of Fikom Unpad, Dr. Dadang Rahmat Hidayat, S.Sos., S.H., M.Si., and his staff as well as the Chairperson of Fikom Unpad. Master of Communication Science Program, Fikom Unpad. Meanwhile, Dr. Welly Wirman, M.Si., Dr. Ringgo Eldafi Yozani, M.I.Kom., Dr. Tantri Puspita Yazid, MA., and Genny Gustina Sari, S.I.Kom, M.I.Kom., as Lecturers of FISIP UNRI were also present.

Dr. Edwin Rizal, M.Si., Head of the Master of Communication Science Program at Fikom Unpad conveyed several things related to the Master of Communication Science Study Program, including that master students are required to have an output of accredited journals (as a graduation requirement), an online learning system that has been running since 2020, to student research trends. Furthermore, Prof. Dr. Atwar Bajari, M.Si., added that one of the characteristics of the Master of Communication Science Study Program at Fikom Unpad is the existence of elective courses. With this activity, it is hoped that further cooperation will be established, including presenting guest lecturers in each study program.
