Visit of Faculty of Communication Science, Ciputra University Surabaya

The Faculty of Communication Sciences, Ciputra University Surabaya visited the Faculty of Communication Sciences, Padjadjaran University on November 2, 2021 for a benchmarking visit. The visit was carried out to find out the curriculum and development of Public Relations at Fikom Unpad. Thus, it is hoped that from this visit the study program can develop a curriculum that is in accordance with the current development of technology and information.

This activity was attended by a team of lecturers from the Faculty of Communication Science, Ciputra University Surabaya, Dr. Drs. Ismojo Herdono, M.Med.Kom., as Head of the Communication Science Department of Ciputra University Surabaya, Mrs. Hilda Yunita Wono, S.I.Kom, M.Med.Kom., CIQaR and Mr. Ari Agung Priambada, S.I.Kom., M.A. The presence of the Fikom lecturer team was welcomed by Dr. Drs. Dadang Rahmat Hidayat, S.H., S.Sos, M.Si, Dean of Fikom Unpad along with the staff and several Lecturers of Public Relations Study Program in Oemi Room, Building 1, Fikom Unpad Jatinangor.

The visit discussed the development of public relations, especially the curriculum and courses related to digital public relations. Head of Public Relations Department of Fikom Unpad, Centurion C. Priyatna, M.Si., Ph.D., explained the curriculum and courses in the Public Relations Study Program at Fikom Unpad, especially those related to digital public relations. He also explained the various practicums that students do during lectures. According to him, students also need to have a portfolio to prepare for entering the workforce later. After this visit, it is expected to open up opportunities for cooperation between the two study programs, such as research between lecturers, public lectures, and other activities. (NA)
