Come get to know Unpad: Open Campus 2025

Universitas Padjadjaran held an event called “Ayo Kenal Unpad: Open Campus 2025” on February 22-23, 2025 at the Unpad Jatinangor campus. One of the series of activities was a campus tour where Fikom Unpad was one of the destinations. Participants who took part in this activity came from 800 high schools/equivalent from all over Indonesia.

Students who attended Fikom Unpad toured the campus guided by the committee, some of the places visited were the Photography Laboratory, Radio Laboratory, Television Laboratory and the Fikom Unpad Auditorium.

The next event was filled with public speaking material in the Postgraduate Auditorium with speaker Dr. Ira Mirawati, M.Si., who is the Head of the Communication Management Study Program.

The material presented was very interesting, students were invited to directly practice public speaking. Here are some of the materials presented, namely:
A. Body language that must be considered in public speaking:
1. Hand position and eye gaze must divide 5 points (center, front right, front left, back right, back left)
2. Body posture
3. Facial expression
B. Types of public speaking:
1. Manuscript (speech by looking at the script)
2. Memory tale (remembering)
3. Extempore (speech with the ability to remember with points for guidance)
4. Impromptu (impromptu or spontaneous speech)
