
From Pangandaran to the Podium: PSDKU Unpad Communication Science Scores Triple Victories
PANGANDARAN – The Communication Studies Program at PSDKU Universitas Padjadjaran has once again made a remarkable achievement on the national stage. Between June and July 2025, Communication Studies students successfully achieved a series of impressive accomplishments in three prestigious competitions participated in by renowned universities across Indonesia.
This series of victories began on June 4, 2025, at the Epicentrum 2025 event, organized by the Faculty of Communication Sciences at the University of Padjadjaran. The Unpad PSDKU team, consisting of Namira Najma Humaira (2022), Fawwaz Muzhaffar (2022), and Yuslin Ridho Julio Rumarhobo (2022), secured 3rd place in the Research Mindedness category. Not only that, the team also won the Best Presentation award for their presentation of ideas, which was deemed the most outstanding, well-structured, and communicative by the judging panel.
The success continued on June 21, 2025, when the PSDKU student team once again showcased their skills at the Communication Awards 2025, organized by the Department of Communication Sciences at Muhammadiyah University of Yogyakarta (UMY). The team, consisting of Fasha Islami Aulia (2023), Surya Nugraha (2023), and Andre Antonio Rizky Nanggus (2024), won 2nd place in the PR Campaign category, outperforming dozens of teams from various universities across Indonesia.
The pinnacle of pride came on July 19, 2025, at the Antariksa Competition organized by the Department of Communication Sciences at Universitas ‘Aisyiyah Yogyakarta (Unisa Yogyakarta). A 2023 graduate, Nurifah, delivered a stunning performance and secured 1st place in the Creative Poster Design category, proving that PSDKU students’ creativity can compete at the national level.
Their supervisor, Azizul Rahman, expressed his highest appreciation to the outstanding students. “This victory is clear proof that PSDKU Unpad students possess quality, competitiveness, and the drive to continue growing. I am proud to see them not only competing but also bringing honor to Pangandaran on the national stage,” he said.
These achievements serve as new motivation for the Communication Studies program at PSDKU Unpad to continue encouraging its students to actively participate in various competitions, network, and hone their communication skills relevant to industry developments. n.fa
