
Ilkom PSDKU Unpad Welcomes Students of SMK Yadika 2 Jakarta Barat in Unpad Eduventure Lite
Pangandaran, May 17, 2025 – The Communication Science Study Program (Ilkom) of Universitas Padjadjaran PSDKU Pangandaran participated in the Unpad Eduventure Lite event, which welcomed an audience from SMK Yadika 2 Jakarta Barat. The event was attended by more than 100 students and took place on Saturday, May 17, 2025, at the PSDKU Unpad Pangandaran Campus.
Ilkom PSDKU Unpad sent one of its lecturers, Atef Fahrudin, S.I.Kom., M.I.Kom., popularly known as Mr. Atef, as the delegate and speaker. In his presentation, he highlighted the importance of the Communication Science study program in the modern era, particularly in facing the rapid development of information and communication technology. One of the main points he emphasized was the relevance of communication studies in addressing the emergence and utilization of Artificial Intelligence (AI) across various sectors.
The event aimed to introduce Universitas Padjadjaran’s academic environment to high school and vocational school students while providing insights into study options relevant to future demands. Through interactive sessions, students gained a clearer understanding of career opportunities and the essential skills needed in the field of communication.
One of the participants, RZ, a twelfth-grade student from SMK Yadika 2, expressed his enthusiasm after the event. “I now understand more about the importance of communication, especially in today’s digital era with the presence of AI. Mr. Atef’s explanation made me interested in studying this field in college,” he said.
This initiative also supports the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly Goal 4: Quality Education, by promoting access to relevant and future-oriented knowledge, and Goal 17: Partnerships for the Goals, through collaboration between universities and schools to foster educational development.
With the successful implementation of this event, Ilkom PSDKU Unpad hopes to continue expanding its educational outreach and strengthening ties with schools across Indonesia. Such collaborations are expected to inspire young generations to pursue higher education and prepare them to face the challenges of the digital era. (AF)
