
Webinar Series 2 #Communication “New Lifestyle after Pandemic: A Health Communication Perspective”
The Faculty of Communication Sciences, Padjadjaran University again organized the Webinar series 2 #KomuniAksi with the theme New Lifestyle After Pandemic: A Health Communication Perspective on Thursday, September 1, 2022 online through the Zoom meeting platform. This webinar presents Dr. Susanne Dida, M.M. and Dr. med. Setiawan, dr as a speaker on the focus of Health Communication Science. This activity is a series of 62nd Anniversary of Fikom Unpad.
The webinar, which was moderated by Retasari Dewi, M.I.Kom. was opened with remarks from the Dean of the Faculty of Communication Sciences, Dr. Dadang Rahmat Hidayat, S.H., S.Sos., M.Si, who emphasized that the pandemic has not only changed lifestyles, but also changed all aspects of human life. “During the pandemic we got a lot of misinformation about health and even the virus itself, both hoaxes, fake news. Therefore, how is health communication related to a new lifestyle, of course, not hoax information,” he said. He hopes that we can get the right information about the right lifestyle or lifestyle from a health communication perspective.

The presentation of the material was started by Dr. Susanne Dida, M.M. with the title “Pandemic and Lifestyle Changes”. In his presentation, he stated some of the unique lifestyle changes that are happening in today’s society. Such as increased concern for environmental health, utilizing digital technology to reduce in-person interactions, changes in work systems, changes in healthy living behaviors that are more regular, increased social awareness, and so on. According to him, optimizing the use of communication strategies in the midst of a pandemic can be done in several ways such as optimizing the use of digital technology, the diversity of the use of social media platforms, conducting indirect communication, and conducting media communication as a substitute for direct interaction. In life New Normal He also explained some of the communication trends that have emerged at this time, such as the emergence of contactless communication in the virtual world, such as metaverse, the return of community, the rise of vaccinfluencers, the new short and long formats of social media content creation, the role of 5G networks, the rise of empowered employees, the importance of mental strength, and traveling safely.

The next material presentation was by Dr. med. Setiawan, dr with the title “New Lifestyle, Disease Prevention”. In his presentation, Dr. med. Setiawan shared about the Global Plan that emerged due to global anxiety caused by the pandemic. Some of the targets in the Global Plan are having more active people for a healthier world, having an active and creative society, creating an active and creative environment, and creating more active systems. While planning at the local level can be pursued by improving healthy and independent campus ecosystems, implementing healthy living by paying attention to the level of sugar and carbohydrate levels consumed by the community, to conducting more physical activity opportunities that support the physical health of the community.
